Artist Statement
We are inspired by nature and love to incorporate it into our work. We have always loved collecting our materials out in the wild, while we travel doing art shows. We started Rock hounding at a young age looking for arrow heads and other objects. We continue this and obsidian mining, growing our materials for our chimes adds to our connection to nature. Our work has a calming zen quality to it and hope it inspires you.

Carol along with her partner Michael Conley work in multiple mediums. Originally fine jewelers, they transitioned to working primarily in stone and obsidian. They also work in leather, fossilized ivory and trade beads. They are mostly self taught and have been creating art most of their adult life for over 50 years. They have won awards at some of the Art shows that they have participated in. Their work has been shown in galleries and art festivals throughout the western U.S.
