Valerie Roberts
Artist Statement
Painting is a kind of therapy for me - it's an in-the-present activity where I meld my intuition and desire to create something that feels "right" to me. In so doing, I am learning something about myself that I cannot access in any other way. My aesthetic is mostly influenced by the natural world with all its variety and sameness, stillness and storm, light and dark.
