Hartmut Reimnitz

Artist Statement

After I retired from commercial fishing in Alaska I started to paint in oil. I always wanted to be a painter as a boy and now I feel fortunate to have time to pursue my dream. A large part of my life I spend outdoors as a commercial fisherman observing the beauty and energy of the natural environment. Exploring and challenging the medium helps me grow in my personal expression.
