Artist Statement

A beautiful object combines the qualities of shape, color, structure, and form, that pleases our aesthetic and emotional senses. Woodturning allows me to reveal the beauty of a natural tree that, otherwise, is hidden beneath the bark. My goal is to form a shape that allows the natural grain of the tree to be appreciated and combined with a shape that complements a particular piece of wood.
